Where GPP is playing
GPP Connecticut Founders Open
GPP is running its first tournament in Connecticut — 8-ball, 18 and over, and entry is free for now. The date and the room are being finalised.
Before anything else
Everybody plays the same game. There is no handicap, no spot and no head start — and no captain, operator or local official can change your number or refuse you.
No handicap.
Everybody plays the same game. Your rating decides which room you play in and then gets out of the way — it is not a spot, a ball or a head start.
Nobody local can change your rating.
The capability does not exist in our software. Not restricted, not logged, not permissioned — not built. And nobody local can refuse you.
Nobody judges what you meant.
You will never be asked whether you missed on purpose, and nobody will be asked that about you. There is no defensive-shot mark, no innings count and no unsportsmanlike-conduct clause.
It runs 0 to 100 with one decimal, and it is a win rate: your rating is your chance of taking a single rack off the reference player. 50.0 is that player. 66.7 takes two racks for every one they drop.
You will know why your rating moved, in one screen, with the arithmetic, at the same time every week.
What happens
GPP is a two-tier pool association delivered as one app, and the player-to-player tier ships first. It is an association you belong to rather than a tracker you install.
Two players find each other, meet at a poolroom or bar that already exists, check each other by profile photo, play a short race, both submit the result, and it counts toward a rating.
What it costs you
Free for now. GPP is not charging players while it works out whether the thing is any good, and it will say so plainly here on the day that changes.
A phone number, a date of birth, and a photo of yourself. That is the whole list, and the phone number is the only way to sign up — no email signup, no social login. One number, one account. 18 and over.
What we owe you
It leaves with you — complete, one tap, and available for at least 24 months after you go. You also keep the right to sue us: no mandatory arbitration, no class-action waiver.

GPP owns no tables and runs no rooms. Matches happen in poolrooms and bars that are already there, and the directory lists the ones GPP knows about.
